Dedicated to serving middle and high school theatre programs across the state, the Maryland Chapter of the Educational Theatre Association also known as Maryland Thespians is the state-wide chapter of the International Thespian Society. The International Thespian Society a program of the Educational Theatre Association is an international honorary organization committed to the advancement of educational theatre for both middle and high school theatre students. Maryland Thespians produces the Annual Maryland Thespian Festival, a two-day long festival packed with workshops, one-act and full-length performances, Troupe events, auditions, college scholarship opportunities, and professional development for educators. Run by a volunteer Board of Directors these dedicated educators and administrators have extensive expertise in both the theatre arts and the field of education.
